K&J Stack

Silver melt value guide

Silver is used in bullion bars and coins, jewellery, tableware and industrial products. The tracker converts the selected weight and fineness into pure-silver content before applying the current silver spot price.

Silver purity

Common grades include 999 fine silver, 958 Britannia silver, 925 sterling silver, 900 coin silver and lower-fineness alloys such as 835 and 800.

Spot price vs. sale price

Physical silver often carries a retail premium over spot. In the UK, tax treatment and dealer spreads can also affect the amount paid or received, so melt value should be treated as a reference rather than a guaranteed sale price.

How K&J Stack calculates value

The tracker converts grams, kilograms or troy ounces into troy ounces, multiplies the result by the selected purity, and then applies the current spot price. Currency conversion is used when GBP or EUR is selected.
